The family-owned, award-winning remodeling firm Callen Home Exteriors was founded by Tom Callen, and Phil Callen, in 1986. Since then, we have been improving the homes of our friends and neighbors throughout southeastern Wisconsin, serving Milwaukee, Waukesha, Walworth, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties. During that time, we have expanded into interior remodeling as well with our sister firm, Kitchens & Baths by Callen, and opened an award-winning showroom.
We are proud of the many long term relationships that have been fostered with our remodeling customers. Our goal is to ensure the continuity of good relations over the life of our customers’ homes.

Michael Wood, CR: Michael Wood started with Callen Construction in 2002 in sales and became Sales Manager of the exterior product team in 2005. In 2009, he became Sales Manager for the entire sales force, which included management of the interior design group. As manager, he is responsible for training and motivating both groups, ensuring all of Callen‘s programs and processes give the best customer experience.
Mike emphasizes the importance of being a professional. “We don’t wing it. Everything we do, from how we dress, to how we talk, to how our car looks, to the tools we use, is a reflection of how we give our customers the best experience possible,” he said. “We care about company and our customers. Our goal is to help clients make informed decisions and to offer them an enjoyable experience with a professional company they can trust with one of their most valuable possessions – their home.”
Mike is a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler (CR). To achieve certification, he underwent comprehensive review and testing in areas of business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling.
He studied business at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and mechanical engineering at Marquette University.
Home Exteriors Sales Team
Brad J. Flannigan: Brad has spent over 20 years in the construction industry with Callen. As a sales representative, Brad is dedicated to keeping current with knowledge and trends in the construction industry and utilizes his vast experience to provide his customers with the best products, services, and solutions.
His experience and certification include: Certified Window Installer; Master Elite GAF Certified Roofing Expert; VSI Siding Institute graduate; Gutter Topper Leaf Protection System Authority; and an Infinity from Marvin Specialist. He also is a specialist in providing homeowners energy efficient ways to update their homes and in Green Technology.
Brad’s interests include supporting the efforts of the Special Olympics, participating in golf fundraisers, and playing lacrosse with his son.
Christopher Wittman, CR: Christopher is responsible for the direct sales of all of Callen’s exterior home remodeling products, services and solutions for many residential homeowners. He has worked for Callen since 2006, specializing in roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, porches, and Home Energy Performance.
He recently completed National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) training to achieve the Certified Remodeler (CR) designation, undergoing comprehensive review and testing in business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling. “Achieving NARI certification puts me at a level of exclusivity,” Christopher said. “It demonstrates to my customers that I have a broad base of knowledge in residential remodeling. On a personal level, I always strive for excellence and building my knowledge base.”
Additional certifications Christopher has achieved include GAF-Elk Roofing Master Elite Training and Certification, Marvin Windows and Doors Certification and Training, and the Vinyl Siding Institute Training and Certification. He also studied business management at MATC.
Christopher is a member of USA Cycling and USAT (USA Triathlon).
Bob Mamerow: Bob has over 25 years experience in the construction industry and is an expert in advising customers on diversified exterior projects. He is certified in Mill Run solid core siding and GAF/ELK Steep Slope Roofing.
Bob enjoys working one-on-one with his customers, consulting on their project needs, and helping them realize their dreams. “I try to understand what homeowners are trying to achieve. I put myself in their shoes and suggest products I think are best for their particular situation.”
Bob has been a Callen employee since 2007. “When I joined Callen, it was the best move I ever made,” Bob said. “It’s a company where I am proud of every facet of this business from the product offerings, to the skill of our crew, to the warranties offered homeowners, and to what Callen gives back to the community.”
A graduate of Milton College, Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in business.
Paulette Sodemann: With an associate’s degree in interior design, Paulette has been creating beautiful interior spaces for the last eight years. Her studies have included building construction, kitchen and bathroom planning, interior lighting, and color theory. She has taken numerous courses from the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association, including residential Green, Advanced Kitchen and Bath Design, Designing with Color, and kitchen and bath ventilation. She is also qualified to do commercial design and is a SEN Certified Designer (SENCD).
Paulette has earned WRA awards in both kitchen and bath design. She also conducts seminars annually at Callen’s showroom to bring her remodeling knowledge to the public. Paulette is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic designer who can transform your space into something functional and exciting.
Paulette is involved with her client’s projects from first meeting to final walk- though upon project completion. Her passion for design and creativity is evident as she takes the client’s vision and employs out-of-the- box thinking, with the finished project meeting all homeowners’ needs and wants in an innovative way. Every detail is considered as part of the total effect, mixing elements and creating a beautiful living space.
Dave Clark:DaveDave started his career with hands on experience in the field as a carpenter apprentice. Within a few years, he began working exclusively in a cabinet shop, designing and fabricating cabinets and seating for residential and commercial use, including for Amtrak, Harley Davidson, and the Massachusetts Transit Authority. It was at this time that he also began remodeling kitchens, bath, bars, and libraries and building hundreds of homes as a carpenter and a project manager.
Dave attended MATC for Auto CAD and MPTC for sales and marketing and is recognized as an expert 3D modeler in southeastern Wisconsin. He also is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), SEN Certified Designer (SENCD) and has won kitchen, bath and building addition awards. He was named an honorary member of “Cambridge Who’s Who” for his work in the industry. He has also served as a judge for “Professional Remodeling Magazine’s” Best of the Best. Dave was a regular on WISN’s “Milwaukee’s Remodeling” with Tom Callen and WLKG’s remodeling show and has had projects featured in area newspapers and magazines.
His philosophy is to partner with his clients and have them be part of the design team. This client involvement ensures that all their expectations are met or exceeded as they develop their dream project. He especially enjoys helping individuals with disabilities find design solutions to fit their needs.
Marie Vos Owens: Marie is an award-winning designer, SEN Certified Designer (SENCD) and has built a solid reputation as the owner of Kitchens by Marie.
Marie recently joined the Callen Design Group so she could redirect her focus from running a business to her true passion, which is creating and designing for clients, transforming kitchens, baths, and lower levels into aesthetically pleasing, functional areas. She enjoys the challenge of taking a homeowner’s concept and expanding it into a living space they hadn’t thought possible.
A lifelong creative and design enthusiast, Marie has more than 20 years experience in design and construction, first as a business partner at a remodeling company and then specializing in kitchen and bath design at a local design firm. Her own venture, Kitchens by Marie, was started in 2006. During this time, Marie won two Milwaukee/NARI WRA awards for her projects.
Marie earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Family Resource and Consumer Science. She also is a member of the Elmbrook Rotary Club and volunteers as a tutor to two kindergarteners.
Jeff Billstrom: A resident of Wauwatosa, Jeff has more than 25 years of design experience and he will complete project design and sales at Callen.
He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, plus he has earned his lead-safe certification designation.
Specializing in full house remodels, additions, lower levels, kitchens, and bathrooms, Jeff has designed several projects that have earned gold and silver awards in the annual Milwaukee/NARI Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year competition, plus one of his lower level designs was featured on HGTV’S “Bang for Your Buck.”
Doreen Schofield: While working in her own dressmaking business, Doreen was asked by a client if she could make a window treatment for the client’s new home. Accepting that challenge turned out to be the beginning of Doreen’s passion for Interior Design.
Earning her Associates Degree in Interior Design form Waukesha County Technical College, she has spent the past 17 years designing homes in southeastern Wisconsin.
Doreen believes that everyone deserves to live in beautiful surroundings – big or small – and that beauty comes in many personalities and forms. She gets to know her clients, their lifestyles, their needs, their wants, and helps them achieve a beautiful look that is entirely their own. She wants their home to be everything they’ve always wanted.
A former employee of Ethan Allen Home Interiors for 12 years, Doreen’s work has been featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and presented in the MBA Parade of Homes and The Breast Cancer Show House.
